Vacancy: Service Coordinator
Role
Askews are recruiting for a service coordinator to join our busy and expanding Service department based in Colne, Lancashire. The ideal candidate will have a background within the air conditioning / refrigeration industry. Experience in planning and scheduling reactive callouts and planned preventative maintenance is essential. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake general administration tasks, and should be comfortable working with Microsoft office, as well as service management software. The Service Coordinator will be expected to be organised and manage a team of field based engineer’s daily workload, prioritising tasks and callouts where required. Other tasks will include; ordering of spare parts and materials, and compiling quotes for repairs. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our new and existing clients’, and therefore must be a confident and clear communicator over the telephone.
Responsibilities
- Organising a team of engineers and efficiently managing their workload.
- Processing subcontractor orders where required.
- Dealing with customer enquiries.
- Arranging of work permits, risk assessments and method statements.
- Ordering of spare parts and consumables.
- Preparing quotes and sending to customers.
- Ensuring job reports are processed through to completion.
- Preparing of job costings and forwarding for invoicing.
- Working with management and directors to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Be fully conversant and compliant with company Environment and Health & Safety procedures.
- Handle calls out of hours on a rota basis.
- General office administration tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role (refrigeration and air conditioning industry preferable).
- Competent user of IT systems (experience of service management software preferable).
- Able to adapt and work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Possess first class customer service skills.
- Quick to learn and develop new skills, and open to training.
- A high attention to detail.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 17:30pm
- 1/2hr for lunch (unpaid)
Remuneration
- Salary £18K – £21K (dependant on skills and experience).
- 28 days’ holidays including bank holidays.
