The work was part of a general renovation, nominated for a Refit of the Year Award
Work included:
– A cutting-edge air conditioning system with Biddle fan coils, vertical fan coils hidden behind the furniture facade and air discharge grilles made from wood.
– Two horizontal fan coils at the rear of the building above the suspended ceiling.
– Wired hand controller positioned in the manager’s office to the right of the door, incorporating wall mounted room sensors.
– A boiler mounted in a small cupboard at the far right hand side of the rear room.
– A chilled water plant, positioned on the flat roof directly above the manager’s office, with easy access.
– Supplementary heaters mounted within the shop front, manually controlled and for use on cold days.
– An extractor fan positioned above the accessible changing room and accessed via a hatch in the ceiling.
– Extraction systems in the toilet and basement IT room, via a Systemair in line tube fan mounted in the basement above the gents toilet ceiling accessed via the ceiling hatch.
– An Above Door Heater, electrically operated, with the controls mounted in the manager’s office to the right of the door.
– Moving the kitchen sink onto the other side of the wall into a newly created room and replaced existing hot water boiler for a new unit just outside the toilet area.
