Heat Pump Air Curtains

Askews completed a large roll out program installing Mitsubishi air sourced heat pump air curtains.

The contract was to install 44 air curtains within a two-month period.

The advantage of this type of system is to prevent cold draughts entering the building via the front sliding doors.

Power consumption was a major consideration and these heat pump systems were chosen as the running costs are considerably less than standard electric units and a pay back on investment of two to three years is anticipated.

The systems were also connected to the existing building BMS system.
